August Show 2017
This year's summer show takes place on Saturday August 19th. We have a fun packed schedule this year with a focus on a busy afternoons entertainment. After several years of using local talent we are now looking to make the show better value for visitors by providing professional entertainers for the arena part of the show and making sure that tere is something for everyone on the day.
Our Equestrian Secretary is currently designing a programme of equestrian events for the show. However the format for the events is not quite finalised. Watch this space for more info once we have completed the May Horse and Dog Show
There will be the Wanborough Show Companion dog show going on throughout the afternoon with Pedigree, Obedience and Novelty classes for dogs of all shapes and sizes. Further entertainment will be provided by the Mooncarrot Puppet show with 2 shows and circus skills workshops. Also our old friend Kookie the Clown will be there with a special show for the very young (at heart) and presenting the Carnival prizes.
The Produce show will again be in the large marquee alongside the arena, featuring your own Home grown vegetables and flowers, arts and crafts and Children's craft competitions. It will be a cornucopia of nature, nurture and skill.
Elsewhere at the show will be Bouncy Castles and Fairground stalls a chance to meet and handle farm animals and Live Music. There will be opportunities to shop at our excellent craft market, plus a Real Ale Bar, Pig Roast, Tea and Cakes. Come and visit us this August for a fantastic family day out.
